OREANDA-NEWS The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation plans to additionally allocate about 10 billion rubles to support preferential car loans, said Anton Alikhanov, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, at a meeting with Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, Governor of the Samara Region.

"It is very important that the Central Bank is lowering the interest rate now, and we hope for a revival of car loans, because this is the key task now - to support car loans. We even made a decision within ourselves: we will additionally finance support measures related to concessional lending, we will find about 10 billion rubles in order to additionally support concessional car loans," Alikhanov said.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade expressed the hope that this would help AvtoVAZ and other Russian automakers.

The preferential car loan program provides for a discount of 35% from the cost of an electric car, but not more than 925 thousand rubles, 20% from the cost of a car with an internal combustion engine, and 25% for residents of the Far Eastern Federal District. The program is valid for medical workers, education workers, members of the SVO and their family members, the disabled, and also applies to families with children who purchase a car in the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District.

In May, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation expanded it with the Family Car subprogram. In addition to the existing categories of citizens, starting from May 13 of this year, families throughout the Russian Federation with two or more children can purchase a domestic car on more favorable terms with a 10% discount.

Special conditions are also provided for the purchase of manually operated vehicles – a 40% discount on such vehicles for members of the SVO who were injured in a combat zone.

In 2025, the federal budget provides for financing a program of preferential car loans in the amount of over 36 billion rubles, and preferential leasing - 27 billion.
