OREANDA-NEWS  The U.S. economy in the third quarter showed the fastest growth in two years. This was reported by Bloomberg, with reference to the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

It turned out that the gross domestic product, adjusted for inflation, grew by 4.3 percent year-on-year. The agency cited steady consumer and business spending, as well as a more relaxed trade policy, as the reasons for this dynamic. In the second quarter, GDP growth was 3.8 percent.

Earlier it was reported that the economic situation in the United States turned out to be one where high-income households are doing well. As for those whose incomes are average or low, they have a hard time keeping afloat. Analysts say that the average household is barely making ends meet in terms of real wage growth. One of the reasons for this was a jump in some imported goods caused by duties imposed by US President Donald Trump.
