OREANDA-NEWS  The International Fencing Federation has decided to allow Russian juniors to compete with the national flag and anthem, Ilgar Mammadov, president of the Russian Fencing Federation, told RIA Novosti.

On December 11, the Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee recommended lifting restrictions on the participation of athletes from Russia and Belarus in world youth competitions. The organization's statement notes that the IOC's standard protocols should apply to the participation of youth teams from Russia and Belarus, allowing them to perform with the flag and anthem.

"Starting from January 1, our juniors will perform with a flag and an anthem," Mammadov said.
