OREANDA-NEWS   The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has sent an official invitation to the 2026 Games in Italy to Nikita Filippov, another Russian ski mountaineer. He told TASS about this.

He noted that he had already sent all the necessary documents. "The invitation has been accepted and confirmed on my part. I'm accelerating and getting in shape," Filippov said.

On November 27, it became known that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) allowed Russian figure skaters Adelia Petrosyan and Peter Gumennik to participate in the 2026 Olympic Games in Italy in a neutral status. The decision was made by a special commission of athletes.

Filippov qualified for the 2026 Olympics in June this year. He became the first Russian to win a ticket to the Games.
