OREANDA-NEWS  Since the beginning of 2026, 175 new businesses have been registered in Russia in the field of wine production and grape cultivation. The boom of winemakers, based on Rusprofile data, was recorded in KP.RU .

In nine months, the number of productions increased by 15.1 percent. As of October 1, 2026, there were 216 grape wine producers in the country (up 3.3 percent from last year) and 1,572 grape growing companies (up 2.8 percent). At the same time, winemakers began to close less frequently: over the year, the number of closures decreased from eight to six, while the number of winegrowers remained the same.

Currently, 1.8 thousand organizations in these areas operate in Russia, more than half of them are individual enterprises.

At the same time, according to the results of the first three quarters of 2026, alcohol production in Russia decreased by 1.8 percent, to 805.85 million decaliters. The production of low-alcohol products collapsed by 54.9 percent, to 510.4 thousand decaliters. The production of still wine fell by 8 percent, to 24.63 million decaliters, sparkling wine — by 5.6 percent, to 11.54 million, liqueur — by 42.6 percent, to 563.7 thousand decaliters, and fruit products — by 30.8 percent, to 804.3 thousand.
