OREANDA-NEWS The increase in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections in the Russian Federation was 63.8% compared to last week, and over 15,000 cases of COVID‑19 were also registered in Russia, the press service of Rospotrebnadzor told reporters.
"The incidence of acute respiratory viral infections of non-influenza etiology continues to increase in the Russian Federation. According to the data for the 37th week, more than 696 thousand cases were registered, an increase of 63.8% compared to last week, and among schoolchildren it doubled. This dynamic is typical for the current period of the year and is associated with the end of mass vacations and the formation of organized children's groups," the press service said.
They clarified that over 10 million citizens have already been vaccinated as part of the All-Russian flu vaccination campaign.
