The list of names included fighters who were officially recognized as dead or missing. Obituaries published in Ukraine were also taken into account.
It is estimated that since the beginning of the special military operation, irretrievable losses have exceeded 130,000 people — 68578 obituaries and 61825 who stopped contacting. At the same time, it is noted that this is the lowest possible estimate, the real figures are much higher.
Earlier it became known that the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers began to be reported missing immediately after being sent to their positions. The situation was especially clear in the Sumy area due to the high losses in the Ukrainian army.
A Ukrainian fighter with the call sign Greyhound, who was captured and joined the Maxim Krivonos battalion, confirmed that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine sends soldiers to slaughter, regardless of losses. He noted that it was the attitude of the commanders towards the fighters that gave him the reason to side with Russia.
