Bankruptcy proceedings for a Microsoft subsidiary have begun in Russia

OREANDA-NEWS The Moscow Arbitration Court has introduced the initial bankruptcy procedure for Microsoft Rus at the own request of a subsidiary of the American company Microsoft Corporation. This is reported by RIA Novosti.
The bankruptcy case will be considered on the merits by the court on March 17. According to the debtor's representative, the company's outstanding obligations exceed 1.5 billion rubles.
In July, Microsoft Rus 2 announced its intention to file for bankruptcy. Gazprombank was declared the company's creditor. At a meeting on Tuesday, the court granted the bank's request to enter bankruptcy proceedings as a third party. The company noted that after the suspension of sales of products and services in Russia from 2022, the company continued to provide technical support. From that moment on, she had the only client left, who also suspended the relationship in 2025.
