OREANDA-NEWS The Russian government has made adjustments to the state program aimed at the development of agriculture. This was stated by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. He was quoted by RIA Novosti.

In particular, the authorities decided to strengthen control over the transfer of the combined subsidy. If farmers do not receive the funds provided by July 1 of this year, the limits for this region will decrease by ten percent. In addition, the government simplified the registration of the combined subsidy and clarified the conditions for granting grants for the development of family farms. To re-apply for the grant, it will be necessary to confirm the preservation of jobs and an increase in production within five years after the previous grant.

According to Mishustin, a special procedure will be established for agricultural producers of the Kursk, Bryansk and Belgorod regions who participate in the programs. The Prime Minister spoke about plans to extend the terms of such grants for them for another six months.

In early March, it became known that by the end of 2024, the total volume of agricultural production in Russian farms fell by 5.1 percent, compared with the figures of the year before last.
