OREANDA-NEWS  Sales of medicines for influenza and ARVI in Russia increased by 12% from November 28 to December 11 compared to the previous two weeks - up to 9.7 million packages. Despite the increased demand, there is no shortage of drugs for influenza and ARVI in the Russian market. This was reported to TASS at the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT, operator of the "Honest Sign" digital marking system).

"According to the Honest Sign product labeling system, sales of anti-influenza and ARVI drugs in the period from November 28 to December 11 increased by 12% compared to the previous two weeks and amounted to 9.7 million packages. In total, Russians spent 4.1 billion rubles on medicines for influenza and SARS during this period," the report says.

The largest sales growth over the past two weeks was recorded in Kalmykia (+40%), Smolensk Region (+40%), Kabardino-Balkaria (+39%), Astrakhan Region (+39%) and Volgograd Region (+34%). Despite the increased demand, analysts of "Honest Sign" do not predict a shortage of drugs for influenza and ARVI in the Russian market. The reserves currently available will last for more than 10 months, and they are regularly replenished, the CRPT stressed.
