OREANDA-NEWS  The assets of the non-governmental organization Elton John AIDS Foundation, established by the 78-year-old British singer and songwriter Elton John, have been deemed undesirable in Russia. This was announced by the press office of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation on the Telegram channel.

The ministry clarified that non-governmental organizations, operating under the guise of humanitarian projects, are closely aligned with international entities that advocate for the economic isolation of Russia. Furthermore, the Prosecutor General's Office stated that the Elton John AIDS Foundation is primarily focused on promoting non-traditional sexual orientations (the international LGBT social movement, which is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia), Western family structures, and gender transition.

In the past, the work of the European Leadership Network, a group supported by nations that are not friendly to Russia, was viewed as unwelcome due to their anti-Russian stance.
