OREANDA-NEWS   Frost up to minus 15 degrees is forecast in the Moscow region on New Year's Eve, in the afternoon of January 1 in Moscow it is expected to reach minus 10 degrees, the snowfall will remain, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand told Interfax.

"On the last day of the year and on the first day of the new year, the same weather pattern: cloudy, low pressure, snow at times, temperature minus 15 - minus 10 at night, during the day minus 10 - minus 7. The weather is quite frosty, but still with snow," Vilfand said.

At the same time, he stressed that the forecast is preliminary and can be adjusted, its probability is 75-80%. When asked if the forecast could change so much that there would be a thaw in Moscow on New Year's Eve, Wilfand replied that there was no such possibility yet.

On the last weekend of this year, temperatures will begin to drop in Moscow: on Saturday night and during the day - minus 6 - minus 1, cloudy, light snow; on Sunday night and during the day - minus 9 - minus 4. On December 29 in Moscow at night - minus 11 - minus 6, in the afternoon - minus 9 - minus 4, on December 30 at night minus 14 - minus 8, during the day - minus 10 - minus 6.
