OREANDA-NEWS  The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia is proposing to integrate its detention facilities into the probation and prevention system for neglect and delinquency among minors. The project document is published on the portal of draft regulatory legal acts.

It is assumed that FSB detention centers will be able to participate in commissions on adolescent affairs, as well as enter information about them into state registers and state information systems.

The decree may be put into effect on January 1, 2026.

On July 23, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law allowing the FSB to set up its own detention facilities. The Russian special service will also be given pre-trial detention facilities under the central jurisdiction of the Federal Penitentiary Service.
