OREANDA-NEWS  The Federal Security Service of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region has suppressed the activities of a mining farm for the extraction of cryptocurrencies, Uralenergosbyt and Rosseti companies have suffered damage in the amount of more than 121 million rubles, a criminal case has been opened against four suspects, the press service of the regional FSB reported.

According to the investigation, from November 2024 to April 2025, the attackers provided fictitious accounting documents to the Uralenergosbyt electricity supplier containing underestimated information about the volumes and capacities of electricity consumed by the power plant for the functioning of the mining infrastructure operator. As a result, Uralenergosbyt and ROSSETI suffered damage in the amount of more than 121 million rubles.
