OREANDA-NEWS Forest fires in Siberia are unlikely to be put out before the end of summer, said Grigory Kuksin, an expert at the Permanent Commission on Environmental Issues of the Presidential Council on Human Rights. This is reported by Izvestia.

According to him, despite the work of several departments and a large number of volunteers, fires can eliminate only seasonal rains. No precipitation is expected in Siberia.

The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Wilfand noted that the weather there is uneven. It is noted that the rains will pass in the Irkutsk region, while the north of the region will also be dry.
