OREANDA-NEWS. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with Reuters that the Ukrainian side was informed that the special demilitarization operation could end at any moment, provided that Kyiv complies with Moscow's conditions. The list of demands includes recognition of Crimea as part of Russia, recognition of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as an amendment to the constitution that prohibits joining "any bloc."

We will definitely complete the demilitarization of Ukraine, we will do it. However, the main aspect remains the ceasefire by the Ukrainian side and the fulfillment by Kiev of the conditions. As soon as they stop fighting, not a single shot will be fired again,” Peskov told the agency.

The Kremlin spokesman specified that Ukraine had been informed of these demands and of Russia's readiness to end the confrontation. In addition, it was emphasized that the Russian Federation has no claims and encroachments on the territory of Ukraine.

Regarding the neutrality of Ukraine, Peskov said that Russia's goal is to prevent the country from joining any bloc, political or military. According to Peskov, the only possible way for this is to change the constitution.

They must adopt amendments to the constitution, according to which Ukraine will give up its intentions to join any bloc. This is possible only by amending the constitution,” the spokesman concluded.

The agency's interview came out on the eve of the forthcoming negotiations between delegations from Russia and Ukraine in Belarus, in Belovezhskaya Pushcha. The Russian side has already arrived at the meeting place and is waiting for Ukrainian colleagues.
