OREANDA-NEWS  The New York Times reports that the United States is considering confiscating Russian assets to help Ukraine. Russian assets that were previously frozen in Western countries may be subject to confiscation.

American politicians fear that Congress will not decide on further assistance to Ukraine in the near future and will not allocate funding for Kyiv. In this case, the United States could use Russian assets to help Ukraine. Russian assets could be used to provide Kyiv with weapons. At the moment, Republicans refuse to make concessions and have blocked the Senate from considering the White House's request for funds for Ukraine and Israel.
