OREANDA-NEWS  Russian cosmonauts have successfully docked the Progress MS-33 cargo ship to the International Space Station (ISS) in manual mode. The broadcast of the docking was shown by the Roscosmos state Corporation on Telegram.

The docking was successfully completed at 16:40.

The Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle with Progress MS-33 launched from the 31st site of the Baikonur cosmodrome on March 22. The ship delivered 2509 kilograms of cargo to the station. Progress carries 828 kilograms of fuel for refueling the ISS, 420 kilograms of drinking water and 50 kilograms of oxygen. The truck also carries 1,211 kilograms of dry goods, including equipment for the "Sun-Terahertz" experiment.

Earlier, ISS Commander Sergey Kud-Sverchkov said that the astronauts are ready to dock the Progress MS-33 in manual mode. He stressed that the teleconference control mode of the docking is a calculated situation.
