OREANDA-NEWS  Vladimir Putin and his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed the development of bilateral relations during a telephone conversation, the Kremlin's press service reported.

"The leaders confirmed their readiness to further develop Russian-Kazakh relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance in every possible way," the release says.

The Presidents also discussed the schedule of upcoming meetings, including taking into account Astana's chairmanship in the EAEU. According to Tokayev's press service, he stressed the importance of Putin's state visit to Kazakhstan, scheduled for the end of May.
