OREANDA-NEWS  Russian President Vladimir Putin is trusted by 81 percent of the country's citizens. This is evidenced by the updated rating of the head of state, published on the website of the Public Opinion Foundation (POM).

10 percent of the respondents said they had no confidence in the president, while another 9 percent were undecided. In addition, 82 percent of respondents positively assessed Putin's work as head of state. 7 percent of the survey participants expressed negative opinion about his activities, 11 percent found it difficult to answer.

According to the FOM, the survey was conducted from May 23 to May 25 in 97 settlements in 51 regions of Russia. It was attended by 1.5 thousand people over the age of 18. The statistical error of the data obtained does not exceed 3.6 percent.

In January, commenting on Putin's high ratings, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced the support of the president by the population. According to the Kremlin's official representative, the assessment of the head of state's work is related to the successes of Russian troops in the special military operation zone, which inspire the residents of the country.
