OREANDA-NEWS  Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the exhibition of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, which presents projects implemented by ASI, including the strategy for the development of the Azov Sea region until 2040.

On Wednesday, the President arrived at a meeting of the ASI Supervisory Board, of which he is the chairman. He also visited the exhibition, which includes several stands about the agency's activities. The presentation for the president was conducted by ASI CEO Svetlana Chupsheva. In particular, she told the President about the strategy for the sustainable development of the Azov Sea region until 2040, which is aimed at equalizing living standards in the regions of the Azov Sea region with the average Russian ones.

The main objectives of the strategy are to increase the incomes of citizens, increase the level of accessibility of health and education services, as well as increase the life expectancy of the population. It includes both environmental restrictions to solve problems in the coal and metallurgical industries, as well as the creation of a tourism industry in the region along with the restoration of fishing.

As noted by Chupsheva, presenting the strategy, it is very important that it be adopted, integrated into all strategic plans of the government and implemented.

"You have given such an instruction to the government. Here we are working with (Deputy Prime Minister) Marat Khakirzyanovich Khusnullin and with all ministries. We hope that we will start work in the near future," the head of the ASI said.
