OREANDA-NEWS   Russia is working on humanitarian food supplies to Cuba. This was told by Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Abramchenko noted that it can be both supplies financed from the reserve fund, and commercial — lending to the poorest countries so that they can afford to buy Russian food. "The latest example is the study of food supplies to Cuba, and this, again, is a humanitarian mission," the agency interlocutor clarified.

In December, it was reported that the Russian government allocated 800 million rubles for the purchase and supply of 25 thousand tons of wheat to Cuba. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has been entrusted with the purchase, delivery and transfer of humanitarian aid to the Cuban side.
