OREANDA-NEWS  From January to July, Russia provided humanitarian aid to Tajikistan for more than $ 4 million and became the largest donor, according to a report from the Agency for Statistics under the President of the republic.

"The total volume of humanitarian aid received in the Republic of Tajikistan from January to July 2026 amounted to about $ 18 million, and the total mass of supplies exceeded 6 thousand tons. Russia was the largest donor, accounting for 23.5% of the total. China provided 11.4%, India provided 6.6%, Iran provided 3.5%, and Turkey provided 1.3%," the statement said.

It is noted that in general, during the mentioned period, Tajikistan received humanitarian aid from 34 countries. In June, the country received a shipment of humanitarian aid from Russia for school meals under the UN World Food Program. The cargo included 121.4 tons of sunflower oil enriched with vitamins A and D, as well as 135 tons of yellow split peas.
