OREANDA-NEWS  The duty on the export of sunflower oil from Russia in March will be reduced to 9333.2 rubles per ton, according to information on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The rate in March was calculated at an indicative price of 1065.1 dollars per ton of products. In February, there is a duty in the amount of 17 786.4 rubles, its value was calculated at an indicative price of 1068.5 dollars.

In addition, the export duty on sunflower meal will be reduced to 1,742.3 rubles. In March, it was calculated at an indicative price of $204.1 per ton. Its value in February was 3,888.7 rubles, calculated at an indicative price of $212.2.

Flexible export duties on sunflower oil and meal were introduced in Russia in 2021 (from May and September, respectively). They are valid until August 31, 2026. The duty rates are calculated as the difference between the indicative price (the arithmetic average of market prices for the month) and the base price multiplied by the correction factor.
To calculate the ruble values of duties, which have been introduced since July 2023, use the arithmetic average dollar exchange rate against the ruble, set by the Bank of Russia for five working days preceding the settlement date.
