OREANDA-NEWS. Russia will not initiate in the UN the issue of conducting an international investigation into the events in Ukraine, including what happened in Bucha. This was stated by the director of the department of international organizations of the Russian Foreign Ministry Pyotr Ilyichev, RIA Novosti reports.

According to him, this topic has not yet been raised in the United Nations.

“We need to look at what kind of investigation it might be, who will conduct it. Unfortunately, the experience of previous investigations, including through the ICC, shows an exceptionally biased position, ”Ilyichev expressed his opinion.

On April 3, the Ukrainian side published photos and videos from Bucha, a suburb of Kyiv, accusing Russian servicemen of killing civilians.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation called these messages a provocation. The ministry insists that during the time this settlement was under the control of the Russian Armed Forces, not a single local resident suffered from any violent actions.

In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry insists that all Russian units left Bucha on March 30, and “evidence of crimes” appeared only on the fourth day, when SBU officers and representatives of Ukrainian television arrived in the city.
