OREANDA-NEWS  In 2025, the volume of housing sales in new buildings in Russia increased by 11 percent year-on-year. RIA Novosti writes about this with reference to data from Dom.RF.

The total sales amounted to 5.2 trillion rubles. A total of 25.6 million square meters were sold, which is one percent more than last year. At the same time, 14 percent of the total annual volume was sold in December, when the total area of the sold housing was 3.5 million square meters, and the amount was 752 billion rubles.

In Moscow, sales in monetary terms increased by nine percent, to 1.7 trillion rubles, and in terms of area decreased by three percent, to 3.9 million squares. In St. Petersburg, the amount decreased by four percent, to 379 billion rubles, and the area decreased by 15 percent, to 1.4 million squares.

Earlier it was reported that small apartments in the secondary market of large Russian cities rose in price by 12 percent over the year.
