OREANDA-NEWS  Russians will have the right to compensate for the harm caused by the misuse of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, follows from the draft law on AI, published earlier on Wednesday for public discussion.

"A citizen has the right to compensation for damage caused by the misuse of artificial intelligence technologies, in accordance with the procedure established by the civil legislation of the Russian Federation," the document says.

In addition, according to the bill, a seller of goods or a person providing services using AI is required to inform buyers and consumers of services about the use of AI. Also, a person using AI for the purpose of making autonomous decisions affecting the rights, duties, freedoms and legitimate interests of a citizen is obliged to notify the citizen in respect of whom the specified autonomous decision is being made.
