OREANDA-NEWS  Police detained Zenit St. Petersburg head coach Sergei Semak and his wife Anna at the airport in Munich, Germany. Anna wrote about this in her Telegram channel.

The incident occurred on December 16, 2025.​ Semak and his wife were checked while passing through airport security. According to reports, the detention was short-lived.

Anna Semak said that the reason was the goods purchased in the EU. According to the new laws, Russian citizens do not have the right to export purchased items from Europe to Russia that exceed 300 euros per unit. She added that she and her husband were interrogated, after which they were released.

Semak has been the head of Zenit since 2018. Together with the team, the specialist became the champion of Russia six times, won the Cup twice and took five Super Cups of the country.
