OREANDA-NEWS. In the first two days of work of vaccination centers in Moscow, 2 thousand people were vaccinated against coronavirus, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said at a meeting of the government’s coordinating council on combating coronavirus.

“We have begun testing a large-scale vaccination system for citizens. […] On December 4, we opened an electronic record of risk groups. These are primarily health, education and social workers. On weekend… we opened vaccination centers, where about 2 thousand people were vaccinated,” the politician said.

According to Sobyanin, the work of the entire vaccination system was checked, including warehouses, vaccine delivery and storage, and defrosting technology. “I believe that the entire system is ready for a larger-scale vaccination,” the Mayor resumed.

He also expressed hope for the supply of large volumes of vaccine in the future, which will expand the groups of citizens to participate in the vaccination campaign.

At the same time, Sobyanin warned that the situation with the spread of the virus remains difficult, and Moscow continues to grow in all the main parameters of the spread of SARS-CoV-2.
