The case of preparing a terrorist attack at Vnukovo airport was sent to court

OREANDA-NEWS A resident of the Moscow region will stand trial for preparing a terrorist attack at Vnukovo airport. About this was informed by the prosecutor's office of the Moscow region.
The 37-year-old man is accused of preparing to commit a terrorist act and trafficking in explosive devices and substances.
According to investigators, in August 2024, the defendant took a picture of the airport territory on his phone, and then sent the pictures to an accomplice. On February 20, he retrieved a quadcopter with explosives from a hiding place at a cemetery in Klimovsk, transported it to a garage in Podolsk and stored it there.
The device was designed to destroy aircraft that would depart from the airport. On February 24, the man was detained by FSB officers.
The case will be considered by the 2nd Western District Military Court.
