OREANDA-NEWS In April, the United States experienced a significant increase in platinum imports from Russia, reaching the highest level since October of the previous year. The value of these imports amounted to 115.6 million dollars, according to an analysis conducted by RIA Novosti based on data from the American statistical service.

During the month, the volume of imports increased by a third, and in annual terms, the increase was almost a quarter.

As a result, Russia secured the second position as the largest supplier of platinum to the United States, having risen one position. Belgium, which had held this position in early spring, dropped out of the top five in April due to a 11-fold decrease in shipments and now ranks sixth in terms of platinum exports to the United States.
