OREANDA-NEWS  KamAZ, the largest Russian truck manufacturer, will not switch to a three-day working week (a four-day week was introduced on August 1). The impending cancellation of the order, according to which the three-day period was to begin in September, is reported in the company's Telegram channel.

The publication says that at a meeting of the financial committee held under the leadership of KAMAZ CEO Sergey Kogogin, it was noted that the market situation remains tense (the drop in the truck segment in July will be almost 60 percent), but it has begun to stabilize at low levels, which is why, as well as the fact that the measures taken allow To make the company feel more confident, it was decided to maintain the current operating mode of the truck production units.

"The formation of the production plan for October has begun. There is reason to believe that production capacity will increase in October," KAMAZ representatives also noted.

Experts attribute the increase in hidden unemployment in Russia, which was announced by trade unions, expressed in a significant increase in the proportion of part-time or weekly workers, as well as those who are idle, to a slowdown in economic growth and a reduction in demand in key industries such as the automotive industry and construction. In particular, in the second half of summer, many domestic automakers switched to a four-day schedule or announced corresponding plans.
