OREANDA-NEWS  The prosecutor's office of the Tula region reported the death of three people as a result of a lightning strike in the Aleksinsky district of the region.

"The Prosecutor's office of the Tula region, in connection with the deaths of three citizens today on the Oka River at the Shakhter Park Hotel, including a child born in 2011, has organized a review of compliance with legislation regulating the organization of summer holidays for citizens on water bodies," the press service of the supervisory authority informs.

It is noted that the prosecutors will inspect the beach area, check the availability of the necessary equipment, and study the documents on the organization of the beach.

In turn, the Ministry of Health of the region told reporters that four more people were injured, two of them were hospitalized in the Aleksinsky district hospital. Two more victims, a man and a teenager, were treated on the spot, they refused to be hospitalized.

Earlier, with reference to the investigative department of the TFR in the Tula region, it was reported that people died while relaxing on the beach near one of the reservoirs in the Aleksinsky district. According to the investigation, people died from a lightning strike. The investigative authorities did not specify the exact number of victims.
