OREANDA-NEWS. Russia will definitely pay Ukraine for reunification with Crimea, said Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of the so-called "temporarily occupied territories" Alexei Reznikov in an interview with Yevgeny Kiselev.

According to the minister, the "return" of the peninsula will not be quick. He stated that the issue of Crimea will be one of the conditions for "Russia's return to the world community."

"In my opinion, the information rhetoric in the internal discourse should change," Reznikov added.

He is confident that it is necessary to convince the Russians that the reunification with Crimea has done harm to the country.

“And then, it seems to me, it will be easier for a Russian politician to talk about what needs to be corrected,” the minister continued.

The politician recalled the Second World War, after which Germany undertook to pay compensation to the affected countries.

“Problems did not happen with the new leadership of Germany, which said:“ Yes, we are to blame, yes, we must pay reparations. ”And they pay to this day, they pay,” he explained.

Reznikov added that Russia will also pay Ukraine "in the foreseeable future".

This is not the first time Ukrainian politicians have raised the issue of "compensation" for the reunification of Crimea with Russia.
