OREANDA-NEWS. An underground archaeological complex will be created in the Kremlin on the basis of the remains of the foundation of the temple of the Miracle of Michael the Archangel.  The project of the new museum with a total area of ​​1,500 square meters has already passed the examination, the press service of the Glavgosexpertiza said.

 The floor in the main hall of the museum, as well as windows and stands for sarcophagi, will be made of glass.  The entrance pavilion will be decorated with decorative plants.  It will be inscribed in the embankment hill above the equipped basement.

 The museum will display authentic archaeological sites, objects found during archaeological research, preserved fragments of the Cathedral of the Chudov Monastery and multimedia installations.

 The 14th building was built in the 30s of the last century on the site of the Chudov and Ascension Monasteries and the Small Nikolaevsky Palace destroyed several years earlier.

 Four years ago, the ground part of the building was dismantled, archaeological research was carried out in its place.
