Unemployed Russians began to find work at a record pace

OREANDA-NEWS Unemployed Russians began to find work record-breaking fast: on average, it now takes about five months to find it, according to an analysis by RIA Novosti of Rosstat data.
The agency has been keeping statistics on the average duration of job search since 2009, when it took an average of 7.4 months for the unemployed. Then, until 2019, the indicator was in the region of seven to eight months, starting in 2023, employment began to take less than six months.
And this year, it takes even less time to find a job - 5.1 months on average for January-September. At the same time, in July and September, the indicator was at the lowest levels in the entire history of observations - 4.6 and 4.8 months, respectively.
At the same time, the average duration of job search in September of this year for women was 5 months, for men - 4.6 months.
