Zakharova: Russia Conducts Military Exercises As Ukraine is Being Pumped with Weapons

OREANDA-NEWS. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that Russia is conducting military exercises, as Ukraine is "pumped up with weapons." It is reported by RIA Novosti.
“Why is Russia conducting exercises in this region on its territory? Strange, right? A neighboring state, unstable, in which anti-constitutional coups take place, and regularly, moreover, a country with an internal armed conflict has been pumped up with weapons over the past years, ”she said at a briefing.
According to her, Moscow understands the unpredictability of what could happen in Ukraine.
Zakharova also added that the West is speculating on the theme of the Russian-Belarusian exercises "Allied Resolve 2022". She recalled that earlier the Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that "Western propaganda will intensively work out the" installation "of Russia's attack on Ukraine from the territory of Belarus."
“As for the exercises, the maneuvers are being carried out in full accordance with the declared plan,” the representative of the foreign ministry emphasized.
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, said that the Russian armed forces had completed part of the military exercises. Thus, the troops of the Southern and Western military districts have completed exercises in western Russia and Belarus and are returning to their garrisons.
