OREANDA-NEWS. Kyiv agreed to declare the neutral status of the state, writes "Strana.ua". The publication quotes RIA Novosti.

The authors of the portal made such a conclusion from the statement of the party of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky “Servant of the People”. Politicians recognized the need for a new treaty to guarantee the security of the country.

The ruling party of Ukraine published a statement in which it stated the impossibility of joining NATO in the coming years. Kyiv wanted to replace the Budapest Memorandum with a new one.

The document should contain guarantees of the country's security on behalf of "the United States, Turkey and neighboring states." Kyiv offers Moscow to fix the recognition of Ukrainian statehood and guarantee "the absence of threats to Kiev."

“The statement of the Servant of the People party is very significant, since for the first time the Ukrainian authorities voiced the wording – how Kyiv sees the neutral status of the state, which Russia demands. In fact, the ruling party agreed to declare such a status (since they are not accepted into NATO) and accompanied it with a condition for security guarantees that would be given by the West, Turkey, and Russia, ”the portal says.
