OREANDA-NEWS  Sony Corporation intends to release its games on several platforms at once. This is reported by the Windows Central edition.

The journalists made this conclusion based on a vacancy for specialists in the production of multiplatform games published by Sony. Its description says that employees will interact with Steam and Epic Games stores, Xbox, Nintendo Switch platforms, as well as personal computers (PCs). Sony has previously released several formerly exclusive games for PC users.

According to the media authors, this obviously means that Sony will prepare its games not only for PlayStation, but also for other platforms and services. At the same time, the company previously presented titles exclusively for its PlayStation console — most likely, current and future games will lose this status.

Windows Central experts explained that the Japanese corporation seeks to attract the attention of gamers to its products. In their opinion, in order to increase profits, Sony is ready to reduce the value of the PlayStation console, as long as the games of partner studios are sold on all platforms.

"It's harder than ever to attract consumer attention. Being everywhere and in everything at the same time is the best, and perhaps the only chance to stay awake," the journalists of the publication summed up.

At the end of July, a new power saving and reduced power mode was noticed in the PlayStation 5 update. Sony said that in this way they are trying to reduce the amount of harmful emissions into the atmosphere.
