A case of theft of the "Crimean collection" has been opened in Russia

OREANDA-NEWS Russian investigators have opened a criminal case on the theft of cultural property from the "Crimean collection". Kommersant reports about this in its Telegram channel.
According to the investigation, the collection from the Crimean museums was first sent to Bonn, and later to Amsterdam. When the exhibitions ended, Crimea had already become part of Russia. The exhibits remained in the Netherlands, and Crimean museums initiated legal proceedings to return the collection, but a court in Amsterdam dismissed the claims in 2021 and transferred the collection of valuables to Ukraine.
A criminal case has been opened in Russia against officials from the Netherlands, Ukraine and the leadership of the Allard Pearson Archaeological Museum at the University of Amsterdam. The investigation noted that there are about 565 valuable museum items in the Crimean collection, whose insurance estimate is at least 117 million rubles.
Earlier, State Duma deputy and member of the Security Committee Mikhail Sheremet called on Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to repent for the stolen Scythian gold.
