On May 29, in Norilsk, about 21 thousand tons of diesel spilled out of a reservoir on the territory of TPP-3. The power plant is owned by the Norilsk-Taimyr Energy Company (NTEC), a subsidiary of Norilsk Nickel, whose largest shareholders are Interros by Vladimir Potanin and UC Rusal, founded by Oleg Deripaska. According to Rosprirodnadzor, 6 thousand tons fell into the ground, another 15 thousand tons - into the water

Oil products turned out to be in the Ambarnaya and Daldykan rivers, as well as in almost all their tributaries. At the same time, according to Nornickel and WWF, oil products haven't reached Lake Pyasino yet, from which the Pyasina River flows with a length of 818 km, which flows into the Kara Sea. But according to the Prosecutor General’s Office, oil products still got into the river.
