OREANDA-NEWS  Netflix Inc., the world's largest streaming service, will show NASA broadcasts on its platform starting this summer.

"Viewers will be able to watch rocket launches, astronauts going into space, reports on space missions, as well as spectacular views of the Earth from the International Space Station," according to a press release posted on the website of the American Space Agency.

Thanks to the partnership with Netflix, NASA's research activities will become more accessible, which will allow the agency to expand its interaction with a global audience, the report says.

Netflix's total audience exceeds 700 million people.

NASA broadcasts will continue to be available for free viewing in the app and on the agency's website.

Netflix stock prices are up 0.7% in pre-market trading on Wednesday. Since the beginning of this year, the company's market value has increased by 45.1% to $550.52 billion.
