Cabot Norit Activated Carbon Launches DARCO® H2S HF Activated Carbon for Odor Control Applications
Many sewage treatment plants are demanding odor removal solutions that deliver improved efficiency while enabling them to consume less energy and reduce operational costs. Cabot has developed the new DARCO H2S HF high performance carbon solution with a larger particle size that gives the product a low pressure drop and high removal efficiency for harmful hydrogen sulfide (H2S). The high flow characteristics enable the product to operate efficiently under less pressure, while its high H2S removal capacity results in longer life and less frequent change outs, dramatically reducing customers’ purification costs.
“Activated carbon is a common solution for H2S removal. However, many products do not have the high flow characteristics needed to provide optimal operational efficiency. We have engineered the DARCO H2S HF carbon with higher flow characteristics and properties that improve overall H2S removal and efficiency,” said
William Krents,
Global Market Segment Manager, Purification Solutions. “To further help
customers lower their total costs, ensure security of supply, and
guarantee the highest quality standards, Cabot has made the strategic
decision to produce the DARCO H2S HF product at our European
ISO certified plant. Cabot’s European production operations are
well-positioned to supply customers with this new odor control product
without interruption, given that imports of European activated carbon
entering
DARCO H2S HF activated carbon is commercially available globally. To learn more about how Cabot’s purification solutions are addressing today’s global challenges, please visit WEFTEC 2016 booth 3159.
