Port Mechel Temryuk Sets Cargo Turnover Record in 2017

OREANDA-NEWS. Port Mechel Temryuk (part of Mechel Group’s transport division managed by Mecheltrans Management Company OOO) reached a historically record cargo turnover of 1.5 million tonnes in 2017.
In 2017 Port Mechel Temryuk processed 1.5 million tonnes of cargo which is 6% higher year-on-year. Bulk cargo, primarily coal, showed the best growth as export transshipments went up by 22% to reach 1 million tonnes. Transshipment of oil products increased by 20% and reached nearly 500,000 tonnes.
«Port Mechel Temryuk retains its versatility and is ready to work with nearly all kinds of exported and imported cargo. This year we see a potential for further transshipment growth as we attract new clients,» Mecheltrans Management’s Chief Executive Officer Alexey Lebedev said.
