OREANDA-NEWS. The number of vulnerabilities in Apple gadgets has increased significantly - from June to December last year, they were detected by 467% more than in the first half of 2021. This is reported by Atlas VPN.

It is noted that cybercriminals managed to take advantage of 380 exploits present in different devices, such as iPhone and iPad. In the first half of last year, there were only 67.

Atlas VPN experts noted that the cloud data synchronization function helped spread the gaps - malicious code could freely move from one gadget to another.

However, Apple technology is still safer than competitors - the company took only third place. The largest number of vulnerabilities were discovered by Google - in the Chrome browser and the Android mobile operating system. Second place goes to Microsoft.

Earlier, Apple CEO Tim Cook warned iPhone owners that the desire of the EU and the US to create analogues of the App Store will jeopardize their privacy, as smartphones will be able to download unverified applications.
