OREANDA-NEWS. On September 18, 2008 Joint parliamentary-governmental hearings in terms of solving the problem of corporative absorbing and take-over of enterprises were held.

The event was organized by interdepartmental commission on counteraction to illegal acquisition and take-over of enterprises and the Verkhovna Rada committee on legislative support of law enforcement activity.

The Head of Govt’s commission Olexandr Turchynov during his statement disclosed that in order to solve the present problem of raidership all the branches of power should act consolidated. “In fact, physical and juridical persons who make raids have turned to organized criminal groupings today,” Olexandr Turchynov said and added that “the state should rebuff them.”

In his address First Vice Prime Minister stressed on an effective work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as for now two draft bills have been approved out of a complex package of anti-raider laws which submitted to the Parliament.  

According to Olexandr Turchynov, one of the main problems appears that “raidership exists under the guise of sham legality.” He emphasized that 80% of take-overs are conducted through fictitious court decisions. To solve the problem of manipulating court decisions the participants of the roundtable admitted measures should be taken to introduce execution of court orders and their copies in a customized document forms.
