Ukraine to Intensify Cooperation with Countries in Aviation Sphere
OREANDA-NEWS. On August 28, 2009 The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko called on leaders of aviation enterprises to carry full modernization of the aviation sphere. She announced during the meeting with representatives of Ukrainian aircraft enterprises underway at Kharkiv state-owned aviation production enterprise in the framework of a working trip of the Head of Government to Kharkiv region.
“The first task I want to set is complete modernization and complete upgrade of capacities of the branch,” Yulia Tymoshenko noted.
According to the Prime Minister, calculations showed that complete modernization of aviation enterprises of Ukraine necessitates UAH 3.5 billion to be envisaged in the State Budget for 2010: “3.5 billion hryvnyas is a little sum, next to nothing to make the branch operate with new equipment, to make it function reliably and stably”.
Besides, the Head of Government opined Ukraine had to intensify cooperation with other countries of the world, in particular with Russia and China. According to her, a visit of Ukrainian Governmental delegation to China is due in October and is planned for discussion of creating of joint Ukrainian-Chinese companies. Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized if negotiations between Ukraine and China are successful Ukraine will see perspective in the aviation sphere for at least following 50 years.
Yulia Tymoshenko aired that during a visit of Poland on September 1 it is envisaged to meet with Head of Government of the Russian Federation Volodymyr Putin and consider issues of joining efforts of the two states as well as realization of joint programs in aviation area. The Prime Minister noted that in the course of her last telephone talk with Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Volodymyr Putin he announced that he had signed a special ordinance of the Government of Russia on joint production of An-70 aircraft: “It is a great achievement for us”.
“If we strive to enter biggest world markets we should cooperate with the countries that want to buy our planes,” Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.
The Head of Government noted that for now Ukraine ranks fourth in the world that can boast with the full production cycle of planes: from its design to complete construction of aircraft and its full maintenance.
