OREANDA-NEWS. December 29, 2009. CenterTelecom OJSC reports that it has conducted a video conference for members of Russia's Federal Assembly, representatives of educational institutions of the Tver region, children’s campus Computeriya and World War II veterans. The video conference was initiated by Dmitry Zelenin, governor of the Tver region, as part of the Tver Region Days held December 15 and 16 by the Federal Assembly.

During the video conference veterans spoke of the World War II battles for Kalinin, Rzhev and other towns in the Tver region. Pupils asked many questions about World War II. After the video conference Dmitry Zelenin pointed out that he hoped to turn such conferences into a positive tradition. 

Video conferencing is popular service among CenterTelecom's corporate customers in the Tver region. In 2009 the company organized video conferences for the Tver Regional Clinical Hospital, Tver State Medical Academy and Tver Regional Administration's Youth Committee. CenterTelecom also arranged a video conference for Igor Schegolev, Russia's Minister of Telecommunications and Mass Media, and Tver region's students and pupils during the Tver Economic Forum.
