OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2010. This was announced at the press conference by the Vice-Premier, the Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar, who noted that at present Moldova has preferential mode of delivery of goods to EU but its preservation depends on the EU’s goodwill.

The Head of the Economy Ministry stressed the importance of signing the agreement on comprehensive and in-depth free trade between Chisinau and Brussels.

At the same time, he noted that following the example of other EU member-states, Moldova will stand for granting it the transition period of 5-10 years to fully open its market to imports from EU countries. At the same time, the preferences for free entry of Moldovan goods to EU market should be granted immediately.
