OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2010. European Union experts have arrived in Belarus to inspect the country’s dairies for compliance with EU standards, Darya Kozlovskaya, spokeswoman for the Agriculture and Food Ministry, told.

“The inspectors are working at Bereza Cheese Plant and the Savushkin Product company. Later on, inspections will be carried out at Verkhnedvinsk Creamery. The experts will find out whether the companies adjusted their production process in accordance with remarks of the previous mission of inspectors,” Darya Kozlovskaya said.

“The EU delegation will assess the level of the companies’ compliance with the European dairy production standards”, she added. The EU inspectors will stay in Belarus until 29 January.

A new delegation of EU experts will visit Belarus on January 24 to inspect the country’s cattle-breeding facilities.
